Teledyne Dalsa Acquires Axiom IC
Teledyne Dalsa BV has acquired fabless semiconductor company Axiom IC BV to strengthen its CMOS mixed-signal integrated circuit design capabilities. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Axiom IC of Enschede, the Netherlands, was founded in 2007 as a spinoff of the University of Twente.
“While continuing to serve external customers, Axiom will provide additional resources to benefit both our digital imaging and electronic test and measurement instrumentation businesses,” said Robert Mehrabian, who is chairman, president and CEO of Teledyne.
Axiom’s design complements Teledyne Dalsa’s knowledge of “CMOS image sensor design, high-voltage driver chips for MEMS and embedded software development,” said Teledyne Dalsa CEO Brian Doody.
Teledyne Dalsa, a Teledyne Technologies subsidiary, manufactures digital imaging products, semiconductors, and MEMS products and services.
