PowerPhotonic Opens Base in North America
PowerPhotonic Inc. has opened a micro-optics customer and technical support center in Pleasanton, Calif., strengthening its presence in North America.
The North American base, staffed by US employees, is expected to strengthen relationships across the laser micro-optics community, including the materials processing, medical systems and optical communications industries as well as companies in the US defense business that require ITAR compliance.

“North America represents the single biggest market for PowerPhotonic products, and it is essential that we boost our presence to capitalize on this potential,” said Dr. Roy McBride. “This new investment will be a springboard for growth and is the model of how we intend to expand our business in other strategically important markets.”
