Lake Qin was named director of sales in China for California-based GigOptix Inc., a fabless supplier of semiconductor and optical components for high-speed information streaming. He brings to the position more than 15 years of communications experience.







Laser Light Engines Inc. has appointed David J. Parent vice president of finance and chief financial officer. The Salem, N.H., company manufactures laser-driven illumination engines and color modules for digital projection.







Industry trade group AIA has appointed Kyle Voosen (left) and Steve Mott (right) global ambassadors for its program to educate and support the growth of the vision and imaging industry. Voosen and Mott will serve as ambassadors to Europe and South America, respectively.
