Laser Micro Industry Veteran Joins PowerPhotonic
Precision micro-optics manufacturer PowerPhotonic has appointed Jason Alexander head of its North America operations.
Alexander will manage the growth of PowerPhotonic’s materials processing, defense, medical systems, optical communications and micro-optics businesses across North America from the company’s recently established micro-optics customer and technical support center in Pleasanton, Calif. (See:

A 25-year photonics industry veteran, Alexander has held various roles at Dilas Inc., Osram Opto Semiconductors and Lightwave Electronics Corp., now part of JDSU.
“This is a very important time for the company with the recent unveiling of our new LightForge custom micro-optics fabrication service and a raft of standard product developments in the pipeline,” said Dr. Roy McBride (See:
