Toshiba Moves US Semiconductor Headquarters to Larger Facility
Toshiba America Electronics Components Inc. (TAEC) has relocated its corporate headquarters in Irvine to a larger, 445,410-sq-ft facility that joins the company with five other Toshiba America Inc. subsidiaries and accommodates its day-to-day business and marketing activities.
The Toshiba-owned building, located at 9740 Irvine Blvd., is occupied solely by Toshiba companies and includes a training center, product demonstration facility and a cafeteria. The campus also features a solar energy system that utilizes a photovoltaic inverter technology created and implemented by Toshiba International Corp.
“Moving to the new larger campus is part of an ongoing effort to improve efficiencies within our company,” said TAEC President and CEO Hideya Yamaguchi. “The move not only accommodates continued growth, but also provides a more efficient work environment, while supporting our commitment to optimal use of space and resources.”
Approximately 160 executive, sales, marketing and administrative staff members have moved to the new headquarters.
