ZEISS Lens Garners EISA Award
The Zeiss Touit 2.8/12 camera lens for mirrorless system cameras has been named European Compact System Lens of the Year by The European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA).
Presented for products that combine innovative technologies with high-quality performance and design features, the award is deliberated through an international jury composed of editors-in-chief of leading photography journals in 16 European countries.
“We set the bar high while developing our Zeiss Touit 2.8/12,” said Martin Dominicus, head of marketing at Zeiss Camera Lenses. “We wanted to open up entirely new creative possibilities for photographers that use mirrorless cameras. We are very proud to receive the EISA Award and view this honor as an acknowledgement of our efforts.”
The Touit 2.8/12 camera lens was launched in June with interchangeable autofocus lenses comprising the extreme wide-angle Touit 2.8/12 and the standard Touit 1.8/32 for Fujifilm X and Sony NEX cameras.
The lens has also received the iF Product Design and the Red Dot Product Design awards.
