Honeywell Acquires Quantum Laser
PHOENIX, Jan. 10 -- Honeywell has acquired Quantum Laser Corp., a Norcross, Ga.-based aerospace repair facility that specializes in the laser cladding of turbine blades. Quantum Laser, which will maintain its Georgia facilities, is to become part of Honeywell's aerospace business, working closely with its repair and overhaul facility in Greer, S.C. Terms of the transaction were not reported.
The acquisition of Quantum Laser presents an excellent opportunity for Honeywell to enhance its repair technology while at the same time generating revenue growth by serving a broader range of aerospace customers, said James D. Taiclet Jr., president of Honeywell Aerospace Services.
