Precision Optics Names Rancourtto Optical Thin Film Post

GARDNER, Mass., Jan. 21 -- Precision Optics Corp. Inc. has named James D. Rancourt as senior vice president, Optical Thin Film Technology. Rancourt previously was affiliated with Optical Coating Labs Inc.; for the past two years he has directed new thin-film coated product development at Guardian Industries Corp., an international manufacturer of commercial flat glass.
Rancourt is the author of the Optical Thin Film Users Handbook, as well as numerous technical papers. He serves as topical editor for thin films for the journal Applied Optics.
