Luminit Forms Security Group
Holographic diffusers maker Luminit LLC has formed a Security Microstructure group as part of its entry into high-level document security, authentication and identity protection programs, the company said this week.
Luminit develops holographic diffusers used in LED lighting for display, automotive, biomedical, machine vision and consumer markets. Luminit Security Microstructures provides holographic labels, tamper-evident stickers, security seals and other products, as well as security features for identity documents, travel documents and birth records.
“Luminit has long used holographic technologies in our main Light Shaping Diffuser product line, also known a ‘holographic diffusers,’ in addition to using holographic technologies in its R&D group for US government SBIR projects,” said president and CEO Engin Arik, “and we are now very enthusiastic to be applying these technologies in a new market for us. We expect this area to offer significant expansion to Luminit.”
