ATF Awarded ISO Registration
Advanced Thin Films' (ATF) laser optics manufacturing facilities in Boulder have been awarded the ISO 9001:2008 registration for meeting quality management system requirements of the internationally recognized standard, the company said this week.
Becoming an ISO-registered company gives customers confidence in its processes and procedures, assuring that the final product is of the highest quality, ATF said.
"We are focused on improving our efficiency and effectiveness of our operations," said Vice President of Operations Tu Du. "This is a key step in the right direction, and we will continue to streamline and improve our processes."
ATF, a brand within Idex Optics & Photonics, was formed from the merger of ATFilms and Precision Photonics. It makes high-power laser mirrors, optical assemblies and custom coatings by combining modern ion-beam sputtering techniques with proprietary volume manufacturing technology.
