CellaVision named Sweden’s best optics, photonics company
Biophotonics company CellaVision AB of Lund, Sweden, received the industry award from PhotonicSweden, the country’s optics technology platform. “Since [CellaVision] was founded in 1994, it has developed into an important player in the field of laboratory medicine,” the jury wrote. “CellaVision is well on the way in establishing a global standard for digital microscopy.”

The annual award, which recognizes both business and technological advancements, was presented to CEO Yvonne Mårtensson – pictured at the ceremony with Dr. Magnus Breidne of Photonic Sweden – during the Conference on Optics and Photonics in Uppsala this fall.
