New CEO Joins Mitsubishi Electric
Mitsubishi Electric Corp. has named Masaki Sakuyama as its new president and CEO. He will replace Kenichiro Yamanishi, effective April 1.
Sakuyama began working at Mitsubishi in 1977 as an engineer for Kobe Works. He became the company’s executive officer and group president of Energy and Industrial Systems in 2008, and in 2010 was named senior vice president and general manager of the Corporate Strategic Planning Division.
He was promoted to executive vice president and group president of the Semiconductor and Device Group two years later.
Sakuyama studied at the University of Tokyo.
