MIS Names New CMO
Molecular Imaging Services Inc. has named Gary Heller, M.D., Ph.D., its new chief medical officer.
An expert in cardiology and cardiovascular imaging, he also has experience in pharmaceutical and radiopharmaceutical drug development as well as more than 30 years of experience in clinical and nuclear cardiology.
Heller established the first PET program in Connecticut, focusing on cardiac perfusion, myocardial viability assessment and cardiac sarcoid, and is a past president of the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission and its Nuclear-PET division. He has authored numerous papers and has sat on the editorial boards for several cardiology journals.
"[Heller’s] role will be to provide clinical education and to enhance overall quality for our current and future customers,” said Frank DiGregorio, president and CEO of MIS.
Heller is also the former director of the Cardiovascular Fellowship Program at Hartford Hospital/University of Connecticut School of Medicine.
