Kenneth Moore Named SPIE Fellow
Kenneth Moore has been named an SPIE fellow for his achievements in optical design software development.
Chief technology officer for Radiant Zemax, Moore is the founder of a major supplier of optical design software, and he developed nearly all of the code for a well-known optical design and analysis software package that is used by optical engineers and scientists.
He has provided thousands of software licenses to optical science educational institutions and students around the world, and has taught numerous courses on related subjects including numerical modeling of optical systems.
Moore has also published papers on various aspects of optical design. He has been a member of SPIE since 1988.
SPIE’s Fellowship program recognizes members for their outstanding technical contributions and service in the optics, photonics and imaging fields.
