Zygo Receives Support Order for Laser Fusion Amplifiers
Zygo Corp. has been awarded a $1.4 million contract to produce meter-class laser fusion amplifiers for laboratory testing purposes.
The funding, awarded to the company’s Optical Systems division by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, is part of an operational spares program for the lab’s National Ignition Facility in California.
Zygo has worked with the facility in producing optics since 1997, and continues to provide product and development of new manufacturing technologies.
