ESI Sues EO Technics Over Alleged Patent Infringement
Laser manufacturing firm Electro Scientific Industries Inc. has filed a lawsuit alleging EO Technics Co. Ltd. is infringing on its patent for a positioning system.
The complaint, lodged in the Seoul Central District Court of South Korea, alleges that EO Technics infringes on ESI’s Korean Patent No. 395,273, titled “Multi-rate Positioner System having an Improved Profiling Filter,” when it makes, uses, sells, offers for sale or imports certain of its products.
ESI seeks an injunction against the manufacture, use and sale of the products at issue, as well as damages.
ESI supplies the laser micromachining market, including the flexible circuit and rigid-flexible printed circuit board (PCB) industries.
