Ty Guernsey, co-founder of Guernsey Coating Labs, has fully acquired the company, making it a completely woman-owned business.

The company specializes in optical thin-film coatings, covering the UV to near-infrared wavelength range, for a wide variety of applications and industries. It provides a range of optical thin film services for R&D, high-volume runs, custom designs, evaluation and testing, and final production.

Industries served by the company include: medical, aerospace, defense, optical instrumentation, inspection equipment, telecommunications, imaging and displays, lighting and scanning, universities, lasers and semiconductors.
