LaserComm Names New President and COO
PLANO, Texas, Feb. 17 -- LaserComm Inc., a developer of photonic components for fiber optic networks, has named Daniel A. Acton president and COO. Acton most recently served as president and CEO of Corning Optical Corp. of America, a wholly owned subsidiary of Corning Inc. While at Corning, Acton helped launch the photonic products business in support of the company's developing optoelectronics strategy.
LaserComm recently completed a series of pre-beta tests on its Hi-Mode Dispersion Management line of products. The company is in the process of beta testing specific devices with selected customers.
