Huber+Suhner Acquires Cube Optics
Telecommunications firm Huber+Suhner has acquired Cube Optics AG of Mainz, Germany. The price was not disclosed.
Cube Optics develops, produces and sells wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) products and systems for fiber communications. Huber+Suhner said the acquisition will benefit its business in the strategic market segments of data centers and fiber to the home (FTTH), as well as give access to Cube Optics’ free-space optics technology.
In 2013, Cube Optics generated net sales of €18.9 million (about $23.5 million). The current management team and complement of about 140 employees will be retained.
