Machine Vision System Inspects Displays Online

Portable equipment such as mobile telephones, electronic organizers and handheld games has become widely available. Most of this equipment uses displays that have been custom made to suit each individual application.
The requirements for inspecting these devices and displays seem simple: The system must reject displays that contain fewer or more display pixels than an ideal model. However, displays vary widely in presentation, contrast, brightness and illumination.
An inspection system should be easy to set up and use. It must reject faulty displays without rejecting “good” displays. Finally, it should be robust and adaptable to many display inspection situations…
