Elbit to Supply Missile Defense Systems for German Military Aircraft
Elbit Systems will provide multispectral directed infrared countermeasure (DIRCM) systems for the German Air Force’s Airbus A400 aircraft under a one-year contract with Diehl BGT Defense.

Elbit’s J-MUSIC — a fiber laser-based system designed to protect large military and commercial aircraft against attacks by ground-to-air heat-seeking missiles — is integrated into its multiturret DIRCM system to ensure 360-degree protection of aircraft.
Elbit developed a similar C-Music DIRCM system for the Israeli National Sky Shield program, which provides protection of the program’s large commercial aircraft fleet.
