Corning Expands Hyperspectral Imaging Portfolio with NovaSol Acquisition
Corning Inc. has acquired assets of advanced hyperspectral imaging systems developer NovaSol. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Headquartered in Honolulu, NovaSol specializes in the research and development of active and passive optical systems, including electro-optical systems and optical communication systems for the military and other government agencies.
Corning will integrate the company and its employees into the advanced optics business unit within its specialty materials division. The combined expertise of the two companies will enable development of advanced spectral systems that address the needs of emerging industrial markets, Corning said.
