Laser Components Expands Arizona Facilities for Production of Lead Salt IR Detectors
The Laser Components Group has expanded its R&D and production capabilities to offer a new line of lead salt IR detectors.
The PbS and PbSe detectors are sensitive in the 3- to 5-µm range and may be used in gas measurement and other applications.
Full-scale production has begun after prototype development and testing in cooperation with the Arizona State University Center for Solid State Electronics. The company plans to unveil its new products next month at Photonics West in San Francisco.
