RMI Launches Custom Optomechanical Assembly Service
Rocky Mountain Instrument Co. (RMI) has launched the Opto-Mech Program for design, manufacturing and testing of optomechanical assemblies.

Services include design using Zemax and SolidWorks software, Class 100 clean room manufacturing and coating, as well as advanced testing and metrology, including active optical alignment and testing of transmitted wavefront, modulation transfer function (MTF) and image quality.
The program focuses on engineering, precision assembly techniques, adhesives, mechanical retention methods and stringent tolerance standards. The company’s machine shop allows for rapid prototyping and tooling for customer review and approval.
Product categories include lens objectives, prism assemblies, optical transmitter and receiver assemblies, and advanced optical fixtures.
