Quantum Materials Names Lindberg CFO

Craig A. Lindberg has been named chief financial officer at Quantum Materials Corp., a manufacturer of quantum dots for medical, display, solar energy and lighting applications.

Lindberg, 45, previously worked as a consultant and entrepreneur. From 2009 to 2012 he was senior vice president of strategic initiatives for Global Geophysical Services Inc., and was president of AutoSeis Inc. from 2008 to 2009.

In 2005 he cofounded Global Geophysical Services, serving as CFO until 2008. During that time, he led the company’s initial public offering and acquisition of six businesses and helped grow revenues to $376 million and raise more than $400 million in debt and $150 million in equity financing.

Quantum Materials CEO Stephen Squires said Lindberg’s “experience and skill sets jibe nicely with the needs of our company as we enter commercialization of our technologies and dovetail with our drive toward improving the company’s capital structure and our efforts position the company to move from the OTCBB (Over-the-Counter Bulletin Board) to a major exchange listing.”

Lindberg has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston and a master’s degree in business administration from Rice University, where he has established the Global Geophysical Scholarship for Entrepreneurial Studies. He is a director of Fast Felt Corp., a building material technology company, and My Body and Soul, a nonprofit that provides free basic care and baby care items to people in need.

He succeeds Chris Benjamin as CFO. Benjamin will remain on Quantum Material’s board of directors.
