Cui to Bolster eMagin's HMD Effort as VP of Business Development
Dan Cui has been named vice president of business development for eMagin Corp.'s head-mounted display (HMD) group.
The company has developed multiple HMDs for both military and consumer uses. It is now completing a next-generation prototype with 2000 × 2000-pixel resolution and a >100° field of view that features organic LED microdisplays.
Cui has 15 years of experience in the wearable technologies market, having worked previously for View Link Technology Pte. Ltd./Myvu.
Most recently he was vice president of sales and business development at Vuzix Corp., where he raised market visibility in advance of a $24.8 million investment from Intel Corp. and Vuzix's subsequent listing on NASDAQ in January, according to eMagin CEO Andrew G. Sculley. Cui also developed key relationships with other companies and a co-branding partnership with Lenovo Group Ltd., Sculley said.
