Laseroptik Increases Production Capacity for Thin-Film Coatings
Laseroptik GmbH has expanded from four to eight industrial ion-beam sputtering (IBS) machines to meet increasing demand for dispersive mirrors and dielectric filters for the UV.

Additionally, one IBS coater has been built for coatings on large substrates up to 2 m in length. A new building with another 3500 square meters and several cleanrooms helps to accommodate all new facilities and provides space for future expansion.
Meanwhile, the company recently published a new, 120-page catalog of its coatings and laser optics, as well as tutorial information. It focuses on coatings optimized for group delay dispersion (GDD) and dispersive optics for ultrafast applications.
Laseroptik employs 29 coating machines using five coating methods. The company is a partner for manufacturers of industrial and medical lasers, as well as laser researchers and institutes.
