Dilas Reaches Milestone with 20,000th Laser Module
Dilas Diodenlaser GmbH marks a milestone this month with the delivery of its 20,000
th tailored bar-based (T-Bar) fiber laser pump module.
The high-power, high-brightness module was designed and developed as a pump source for kilowatt-class fiber laser systems; the first unit was shipped in 2009. The T-Bar architecture offers high beam quality, as well as high power, using standard micro-optic fast-axis collimators (FAC) and slow-axis collimators (SAC). All parts are assembled with automated processes.
A monolithic multiemitter source allows the T-Bar to handle multiple emitters during each manufacturing step, resulting in enhanced reproducibility, beam quality and fiber-coupling efficiency.
According to Joerg Neukum, sales and marketing director, the milestone represents the company’s commitment to customer needs and the industry as a whole, “with diode lasers that combine cutting edge performance in high-brightness, high-power and high reliability.”
