Optikos CEO Receives University of Rochester Award
The University of Rochester presented Optikos Corp. President and CEO Stephen D. Fantone with its Distinguished Scholar Award at its doctoral ceremony earlier this month.

Provost Peter Lennie said Fantone, who was educated at MIT and The Institute of Optics at the University of Rochester, "has devoted his career to applying the modern understanding of light in ways that have brought innovative technology to the American public."
Fantone's contributions to the optics industry include developing proprietary products and technologies that have resulted in more than 65 patents for Optikos and its clients.
Headquartered in Wakefield, Mass., Optikos provides design and manufacturing services for optical product development, as well as metrology products and services for assessing the performance of lenses and camera systems.
