Fairbank Named Engineering Manager at DSI

John Fairbank has been named engineering manager at Deposition Sciences Inc. (DSI).

Fairbank has 28 years of experience in the thin film optical coating industry, with core skills in technical project management, proposals and contracts. He joined DSI in 2008, managing programs and technical projects in both the commercial and government products groups.

Previously Fairbank held a variety of engineering and program management roles at JDS Uniphase Corp. (formerly Optical Coating Laboratory Inc.).

He has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Stanford University and a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Arizona State University.

DSI, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lockheed Martin Corp., produces durable optical thin film filter coatings for applications in the UV to longwave-infrared using patented reactive sputtering technology.
