US Army Awards $13M Night Vision Contract to Intevac
Intevac Photonics, a division of Intevac Inc., has received a $13 million contract for the production of night vision cameras for the U.S. Army’s Apache Helicopter Pilot Night Vision Sensor program.
A follow-on to a $27 million contract awarded in 2013, the agreement addresses camera deliveries through February 2017. The electronic image intensification camera is based on Intevac's electron-bombarded active-pixel sensor for extreme low-light-level detection.
The Army also accepted an additional $11 million in options for night vision cameras and support.
