Ultratech Receives Annealing System Order, Reviews Board Membership

Ultratech Inc. has received a multiple-system, follow-on order for its LSA101 laser spike annealing systems from an Asian foundry customer.

Shipping is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2016. The customer plans to use the LSA101 systems for production at a facility in Asia, according to Ultratech.

Additionally, Ultratech is conducting a review of its board of directors with the intention of refreshment to increase stockholder value. A nominating and corporate governance committee will appoint one or more new board members with technological expertise, the company said.

Ultratech supplies lithography, laser-processing and inspection systems used to manufacture semiconductor devices and high-brightness LEDs, as well as atomic layer deposition systems.
