Luft Appointed to German Senate of Economy
Armin Luft, founder and CEO of Laser 2000 GmbH, has been appointed to the Senate of Economy in Bonn, representing the photonics industry as a senator.
In this role, Luft will be involved in the conceptual work for the development of the photonics field. The body will provide expertise and motivations for sustainable economic development, global social equality and climate justice, ensuring Germany’s competitiveness on the international market. He studied electrical engineering and is the coinitiator of the Laser World of Photonics trade fair.
The Senate of Economy is a German association of leading figures in business, science, media and culture, as well as political and diplomatic representatives. The coalition acts as an independent political and economic advisory body.
Laser 2000 is a provider of laser-based systems, fiber optic components and network test equipment.
