Corning, Workshop of Photonics to Develop Laser Glass Processing
Corning Inc. and Altechna R&D’s Workshop of Photonics have entered into a joint development agreement for laser glass processing technologies.
“The emerging opportunities for ultrastrong, ultrathin and ultraclean glass processing solutions, along with a need for greater glass processing efficiencies, are driving the demand for laser processing technologies,” said Michael Müller, managing director of Corning Laser Technologies.
Corning develops specialty glass, ceramics and optical physics products. Workshop of Photonics develops instruments and solutions for ultrashort laser micromachining tasks.
