Tykma Electrox Rebrands, Appoints Rick Weisbarth Sales VP

Industrial laser systems supplier Tykma Electrox has announced a unified brand following the 2015 merger of Tykma and Electrox. The company’s online presence has been consolidated to www.permanentmarking.com.

Its U.K. facility, located in Letchworth Garden City, England, has partnered with The Needham Group based in Whitchurch, England, to enable greater sales and support for the U.K. market.

Tykma Electrox also announced the addition of photonics industry veteran Rick Weisbarth to the company. As vice president of sales, Americas, Weisbarth will focus on North American market growth. Weisbarth has held positions at Lumonics (now GSI Group), SPI Lasers and, most recently, Laserdyne. He served in the U.S. Air Force for eight years, where he also studied business and electronics.
