C-COR.net, Finisar to Co-DevelopAdvanced Fiber Products

STATE COLLEGE, Pa., Mar. 21 -- C-COR.net and Finisar Corp. have agreed to jointly develop fiber optics-based products for active or passive broadband hybrid fiber-coax (HFC) networks. The companies said these products can be deployed throughout HFC networks at optical node locations, primary/secondary hub sites and primary headends in order to facilitate residential and commercial broadband access service. According to the two parties, the co-development initiative will combine C-COR.net's experience with radio frequency, optics, Internet and systems integration with Finisar's optical and digital integration expertise.
