Bard, Lumitex Sign Marketing Agreement for Cold Light Technology

MURRAY HILL, N.J, Mar. 22 -- C.R. Bard Inc. has signed an exclusive worldwide distribution agreement with Strongsville, Ohio-based Lumitex Inc. for marketing rights to the Bard Light technology and certain other future devices. The Bard Light device employs technology developed by Lumitex to illuminate deep body cavities commonly encountered in urological and gynecological surgical procedures. The device, which will be available immediately, is to be marketed through Bard's urological division, based in Covington, Ga.
