Lambda Physik Fills $1 Million Order from US Diamond-Film Firm
Lambda Physik GmbH of Göttingen, Germany, has delivered a $1 million order of excimer lasers to
QQC Inc. of Detroit, for use in multiplexed laser cell diamond-film production. In QQC's laser technique, a substrate is heated by pulsed laser beams of different wavelengths, resulting in plasma that has a diamond-crystal lattice with a metallurgic bond on its surface. Films produced with this technology will be used on engine parts, artificial hip joints, heat sinks of electronic components and other applications.
