Metromedia Fiber Launches Intracity Networks in Boston, Houston, San Francisco
NEW YORK, Apr. 10 -- Metromedia Fiber Network Inc. has launched intracity fiber optic networks in Boston, Houston and downtown San Francisco. The new networks, which connect the major business districts within the three metropolitan areas, expand the company's reach to eight of the nation's largest 15 cities.
These three new operational networks underscore Metromedia Fiber's continued aggressive expansion of a truly private and secure optical and Internet infrastructure in key metropolitan areas, said Nick Tanzi, president and COO of Metromedia Fiber Network. They allow our customers to take advantage of reliable and unshared connectivity to meet their high-bandwidth needs in these important business and economic centers.
