PI Launches Construction of 100K-sq-ft Tech Center in Germany
Precision motion and nanopositioning technology firm PI (Physik Instrumente) LP has announced the construction of a new technology center at its worldwide headquarters in Karlsruhe, Germany.

After a year of planning, the cornerstone has been ceremoniously laid, the company said. The facility is over 100,000 sq ft, and will include 200 workplaces, laboratories, environmental chambers, and an auditorium for seminars and training events.
Expected to open at the beginning of 2017, the center will bring together PI’s development teams into one shared space. The construction project represents a $13 million investment by the company.
