InterMountain to Fund Zebra Medical Analytics Creation
Zebra Medical Vision has announced an additional financing round of $12 million led by Utah-based nonprofit integrated care provider InterMountain Healthcare Inc. for the creation of imaging algorithms.
Zebra’s analytics engine helps physicians and health care providers analyze millions of imaging records in an effort to close the diagnostic gap. Current algorithms focus on bone health and cardiovascular analysis, along with liver and lung indications.
“In an environment where computing power and machine learning frameworks are becoming a commodity, the ability to quickly and efficiently curate large quantities of data from a world-class integrated health care provider can make the difference between simplistic tools and insights that can truly add clinical value and positively impact patient care,” said Elad Benjamin, Zebra's CEO.
From research to reality and commercialization, Zebra uses big data to deliver large scale clinical research platforms and next-generation imaging analytics services to the health care industry.
