LPKF Expands Production, Management
The laser plastic welding division of equipment manufacturer LPKF Laser & Electronics AG is expanding with new production rooms and a larger management team.
“In the past, LPKF had compelling solutions in the form of outstanding individual systems for laser plastic welding. We have now begun the production of basic customizable machines, which is beneficial to our clients,” said Markus König, a managing director of LPKF’s Fürth production site.
The company’s new Application Center is equipped with several testing rooms, laser systems and measuring devices for welding tests and process qualification.
Management has been taken over by Lars Ederleh and König. Ederleh, who was previously the managing director of LaserMicronics GmbH, is primarily responsible for marketing, service and sales. König is responsible for operations and development, as well as the production organization and cooperation between production sites. Production flow restructuring took place in April, concentrating on the cyclic assembly of high-performance basic machines instead of the design and production of individual unique machines.
LPKF manufactures milling machines and laser systems used in circuit board and microelectronics fabrication, medical technology, the automotive sector and solar cell production.
