Evans Appointed to PowerPhotonic Board
Micro-optic technology developer PowerPhotonic Ltd. has appointed David Evans to its board of directors.
Evans has been directing Financial Times Stock Exchange companies for more than 20 years. He spent his early career at GEC Marconi, which led to heading up the Neston Underwater Systems division. An electronic engineer by training, Evans joined the Chemring Group plc in 1987 and was CEO from 1999 to 2005. He remained on the board for another six years. In 2007, he joined Avon Rubber as the nonexecutive director and was appointed nonexecutive chairman in 2012.
PowerPhotonic designs a range of industry-standard laser micro-optics products and offers low-cost, rapid fabrication services for the creation of freeform optical surfaces.
