Finisar Revenue Reaches $1.26B in Fiscal 2016
Optical communication manufacturer Finisar Corp. has announced a 1 percent increase in revenue to $1.26 billion in 2016 over the previous year.
The company reported that sales of products for datacom applications decreased by $4.2 million, or 0.5 percent, compared to the preceding year primarily as the result of having only 52 weeks in the fiscal year compared to 53 weeks in fiscal 2015.
Sales of products for telecom applications increased by $16.4 million, or 5.2 percent, compared to the preceding year, and were primarily driven by growth in the demand for wavelength selective switches.
The GAAP gross margin of 28.1 percent was the same as the previous year.
Finisar Corp. manufactures optical communication components and subsystems.
