The manufacturer will be using the system primarily for the precision machining of very hard or brittle materials. The ABLASER adopts an ultrashort-pulse laser that enables microprecise machined surfaces.
Mitsubishi said it now aims to target the system to the European and North American markets.
Mitsubishi develops integrated solutions across a wide range of industries from commercial aviation and transportation to power plants and gas turbines, and from machinery and infrastructure to integrated defense and space systems.
