Northrop Grumman Secures $35M Army IR Countermeasure Contract

The U.S. Army has awarded Northrop Grumman Systems Corp. a $35,372,762 cost-plus-fixed-fee, fixed-price incentive, and firm-fixed-price hybrid contract with options for engineering and manufacturing development and low-rate initial production of the Common Infrared Countermeasure (CIRCM) program.

Daylight Solutions Inc. of San Diego, will serve as an industry partner to Northrop Grumman for the CIRCM program to provide protection of rotary-wing and medium fixed-wing aircraft against emerging IR missile threats of today and tomorrow using directed laser jamming capabilities. Electronic and information technologies firm Selex ES of Edinburgh, Scotland, will also provide services as an industry partner.
