Wilson Lin Appointed CEO of General Photonics
Optical instrument developer General Photonics Corp. has appointed Wilson Lin CEO.
In his new role, Lin will be responsible for driving growth of the company. He will also hold a position on its board of directors.
Lin obtained his Ph.D. in physics from the City University of New York and completed post-doctoral research at Princeton University. He earned an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles, and was most recently the vice president of Newport Corp.’s Asia Pacific division.
Founder and former CEO Steve Yao will remain president and chairman of the board of directors while retaining his position as chief technology officer.
General Photonics provides solutions for polarization measurement, management and timing control for applications in the telecom, fiber gyros, fiber sensors, system testing, and optical coherence tomography fields.
