Osram Acquires Novità

Lighting manufacturer Osram Licht AG has expanded its specialty lighting business by acquiring Novità Technologies, a U.S. manufacturer of automotive LED modules.

The company hopes to complement its LED offerings with tail lights and forward auxiliary lighting such as fog and daytime running lights. Financial details of the transaction were not divulged.

Osram Licht develops and manufactures lamps, lighting systems, electronic control gears, LEDs, luminaries, light management systems and lighting solutions.
