Edmund Optics Opens Silicon Valley Office

Edmund Optics Inc. has opened a new office in Silicon Valley.

The facility will house business development, sales and applications engineering dedicated to servicing the engineering and product development needs of the region. It will also have a state-of-the-art lab for testing and system development, and a classroom for customers attending regularly scheduled training courses. The office is led by William Dover, director of business development for Edmund Optics, who has been with the company since 2000.

"While semiconductors continue to be a driving force in Silicon Valley, this region has become an innovation hub for many industries including life sciences, biomedical, automotive and wearable technology," said Greg Hollows, director of the imaging business unit at Edmund Optics. "Our customer base continues to show strong growth because of the increasingly important role that optics plays in these applications. By opening this office, we're ensuring that we can provide the highest caliber of support to our current and future partners in Silicon Valley while remaining at the forefront of optics technology."

Edmund Optics is a supplier of optics, imaging and photonics technology for the life sciences, biomedical, semiconductor, R&D and defense markets.
