Rofin-Baasel Moves Into New Headquarters
Laser developer Rofin-Baasel Lasertech GmbH & Co. KG is moving into its new headquarters in Gilching this month.
The company is moving its more than 260 employees to a business park with an area of 17,000 square meters, offering considerable room for growth.
Modern production facilities with renewable energy feature a 8000-sq-m production area, including a 1000-sq-m clean room. The laser manufacturer aims to unite and streamline its production, which was once distributed to three different sites. Additionally, the new facilities meet the increasingly important requirements of environmentally friendly production. A photovoltaic system with an annual yield of 140 kWp, a ground water heat pump and a wood-chip heating system are featured.
The new high-tech location also features an application lab for joint process evaluation and development with customers and partners. A 4000-sq-m office area for research and administration allows for short communication channels, faster response times and streamlined internal logistics.
